Annual Compliance Renewal
Please read the following requirements for becoming a Local Pro Electrical Contractor:
- Each year you will be required to provide documentation as proof of your compliance with industry standards
- Local Pros must successfully pass an annual background screening, performed through Entuitive Compliance
- Entuitive charges a $65 annual fee for this service each year. Renewal is automatic (Valid Canadian credit card required)
Annual Background Check
- To be eligible for leads, Local Pros must submit their required documents to Entuitive Compliance each year for an annual background check.
- For your convenience, all documentation can be submitted online through the Local Pro App.
Required Documents
- ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor License
- Business licence or GST number (RBQ in Quebec)
- Insurance coverage ($1 million minimum)
- WSIB/WCB/NEST coverage (if applicable)

There is no cost to become a Local Pro or to remain with the program. However, you will need to complete an annual background check, which costs $65 to complete. Your compliance records then remain on file. If you’re non-compliant, you will not receive leads.

In most parts of Canada, you will need an ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence to become a Local Pro.
Québec Pros will require their Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).
BC Pros will need to show their Qualification of Certification.

Pros who have signed up for multiple services will not need to complete more than one background check. It does, however, need to be renewed annually.

As a Pro Xtra member, you earn points every time you shop at The Home Depot, in store or online. These points allow you to continue to generate leads for new jobs.
At any time, you can choose to stop receiving leads (or resume if you have stopped) if you wish to save your points for another time.

You can add as many Electrical Services categories as you like, as long as you have met the requirements.
